BOOK / DANIEL STONE
The Dreamer Who Dreams You
The Shaman, the Buddha, and the conscious dream

This book is about living consciously. The mind opens through the dreaming body to the elements, trees, rocks; to animals, the human animal, the planet Earth, the stars, the universe. It is like taking a walk: a walk in a world where everything breathes, everything thinks, everything has consciousness. There is no difference between 'man' and 'nature'. All is energy, naturally.

The dream is a central theme in the awakening to this ecstatic reality. The dreamed meets the dreamer like the painting meets the artist. There is an ecstatic dialogue between the creator and the created. They co-create a new dream and dance between time and timelessness to the place of no thought the nirvana of the eastern traditions where we no longer have to speak, because there is no defining the beauty of unity.

"This book is a bit like Dr Who's 'tardis'. Stepping through the door we find a whole world of information, setting out the wisdom Stone has gleaned in his considerable travels. This book respectfully links into many spiritual traditions, weaving them together in a central them of the magical mechanics of life." Jan Morgan Wood. Sacred Hoop Magazine.

Stone himself works a lot with dreaming, and this comes across strongly in the way that this information unfolds, with seeming ease and progression, threading through unexpected places and deep concepts. Each chapter is a seccion exploring twelve 'steps', and each offers a wealth of exploration.

He invites the reader into a series of exercises that range from basic breathing awareness, to deep, self-healing and perception shifting, yet always keeping the feeling that this work is possible and enjoyable. Stone interlaces this information content with vivid descriptions of his personal own experiences so that the book also feels like an adventure story.

To read this simply as a book that takes you literally on a trip around the universe, as well as deep into one's inner world, is fascinating in itself. To use this book as a manual for developing one's own spiritual connection which those worlds would be a really great journey. The path for this adventure is well mapped out, and is a tribute to Stone's own integrity as an explorer.

"When I hear my voice, it is not my voice. I hear it like you hear it - something familiar, something strange - teachers, ancestors, energies coming through me. What do they say; what do they mean? They say and mean what you hear. You are as good a translator as me.
This ceremony is a journey. It is best heard in its entirety. The teachers take us to places in ourselves where we hear our own revelations.”
Daniel Stone
